In loving memory of Harlem, Quebex Legend.
21 May 2000 - 11 August 2007

This wonderful animal played a huge part at Quebex kennel. Not just from the breeding aspect but from his calm presence
and wonderful self assured nature that never ceased to impress people and show them what a truly fantastic breed the
Rottweiler is, when bred well, reared well and given the chance to shine.
He truly was a bit of a clown and wanted nothing more than to please us. He was easy to train and to live with, never
complaining about anything but just accepting whatever came his way. Harlem was very patient and even tempered and
showed many new arrivals to this kennel from Rottweiler to Pug that he was canine leader and that he would keep them safe
when we humans were absent from the pack. The other animals here respected his calm leadership and he continued to
set a good example right to the end.
He turned so many heads when out and about and was admired by many. He really excelled in training from agility, basic
and intermediate obedience to Schutzhund. He also had other talents, like removing the washing from the washing machine
and placing his food bowl on the table when he had finished eating. Harlem was lightly shown and did well as a puppy. He
also qualified for Crufts for life receiving his stud book number under Jane Heath at Midland Counties Championship show in
2005, where he came 2nd in limit dog in a large class of 20 entrants. Harlem could be taken anywhere and remained relaxed at
all times and behaved impeccably. He was loved by many and these people shared our tears on his passing.
Some of us are lucky enough to share our lives with such an awesome animal and we consider ourselves to have been
the privileged ones.
Harlem’s memory, characteristics and temperament live on in his children and he will never be far from our thoughts.

Goodbye for now dear friend.
